Bush honeysuckle grows in a variety of forest and woodland situations, especially on bluffs, slopes, or hill crests in partial sun. It does not do well on wet or heavy soil. Once established, it tolerates sun or shade. It has attractive arching stems and forms patches. Spreads, but is not too aggressive. Blends nicely with other woodland plants.
